Janele & Joseph
December 18, 2006:
A VERY VERY HAPPY WEDDING!!!!

Joseph & Janele were finally married last December 18, 2006, and it was such a happy wedding! I was kind of expecting it already to be such since I started my correspondence with Janele, the bride, who was U.S.-based, almost a year ( or more pa ba?) prior to their wedding. Joseph, or Kuya Otep as I fondly called him, was then in Taiwan. Yes, it was a loong distance relationship.

I cannot forget their little "dramatic movie" story in Taiwan airport. Her plane on a stop-over in Taiwan, Janele had to beg on her kness for the security and immigration people to give her a chance to meet and talk to Joseph, even for a very brief moment, before her plane leaves for the U.S. ( I guess Kuya Otep arrived late kasi 'ata or something). Her wish was granted!

I instantly liked Janele even when we have yet to personally meet each other because she was so much her real self, her uniquely charming character was all over her e-mail messages. Yes, she is really Kikay! Hahahahahahaha!

Kuya Otep, on the other hand, is the humble and reserved type and he has this thing about him that gives you a feeling of calm and tranquility. I guess they truly complemented each other. Joseph, however, surprised all of us on their wedding day for being much of a talker - he spoke and spoke and spoke of her undying love for Janele. everyone was super kilig!

Janele knew exactly what she wanted. See that beautiful bouquet? That's the very delicate and rare lily of the valley. She would have nothing but. It's great to know our florist did a great job. Another one is her gown done by Renee Salud. It really fit her long, svelte figure; and the Fanny Serrano make-up which really made her look every inch a beauty queen! More than these, she finally has Kuya Otep as her husband. Just by looking at them gave me the feeling that their love for each other can last even more than a lifetime.

Joseph and Janele's wedding was not only well-documented but more than anything, Dino Lara's photos and Jason Magbanua's onsite-video were simply marvelous. TO watch the video, simply right-click the pic below to open a new window:

For their first dance, she wanted this song by Marc Anthony entitled "My Baby You". She e-mailed me an mp3 of the song since it wasn't such a big thing in Manila. Oh my, the song was great! I asked Janele if we could do a professionally recorded arrangement in full orchestration so we could capture the song's essence. The result was fantabulous I even recorded the vocals for her cd giveaways, AWP token gift for them. Care to listen? Simply right-click Joseph and Janele's first dance photo and open a new window:

Maynila Ballroom, a favorite venue of mine, became more elegant with the event styling by Swags and Styles, I guess I was so much in a great mood because of it plus the fact that it was the RSVP Strings who accompanied me as I sang during dinner. RSVP's group head, Carmen Echevarria, was the King's pianist in the Brunei Palace and the music director of Andrea Bocelli's recent Manila concert. Gosh, I sounded truly world-class!

More than anything, it was truly a very happy wedding not only because of the happy groom and bride but the people who were there were so full of positive energy. It was simply oozing with joyous moments and I can't help but take full advantage of it by grasping all those good vibes and make use of them for a wonderful performance. I couldn't sleep when I arrived home since my adrenalin was to the max that night! Simply glorious!

To Janele and Joseph, thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts, for making us part of your special day.

Miss na namin kayo and I am looking forward to seeing you soon!

Janele's LILY OF THE VALLEY

Janele e-mailed me this pic she cut from a mag. She wanted something exactly like this for her bouquet:

Then.... heaven sent... I had a wedding with the bride who's got LILY OF THE VALLEY for her bouquet. I got these pics below during a recent gig!

I love it except that I think it should have more flowers and it should have been styled much better. Oh well, if ever we make you your bouquet, it will be even more lovely than this!

Take note that the roots were retained so that the flowers will not WILT rightaway. The problem with LILY OF THE VALLEY is that it wilts so fast!

I didn't like the color of the pouch for the roots, it should have the same color as the ribbons.

I included this orchid headpiece for Janele's reference:

and this bouquet....

Lilituhin ko si Janele, magbabago na naman ng isip. Hahahahahaahahahaha!

Paulo's concept of Janele's Invite
Its time to finish the invite!
Janele sent me a sample of the wedding invite she wants for her wedding. I am a computer graphic designer by profession ( oh well, I am your proverbial Jack of all trades - master of all, hahahaha! ) so I deemed it better to make a sample of the design based on the color motif of her big day.

I hope she likes the font I used and the colors I chose. I also put a love quotation at the back flap. Of course she can change the color, fonts, even a quotation of her choice - haller, she's the boss noh! It's her big day - dba Kua Otep? hehehehe.
Seriously, I hope she likes it!
Simply right click your mouse and click "open a new window" if you want a larger view.
Janele, I need the middle names of everyone in the list from top to bottom!
Anyways, here is the invite's frontage ( parang real estate property ang term na ito ah... ):
here is the invite when you open it.....
.... and here are the two inserts, one for the Principal Sponsors...
.... and one for the "younger" sponsors:
O, Ate, comment na! Yl be waiting!

THE WEDDING RECEPTION's STYLING GUIDE
--- I shall be updating you on this. Meanwhile.....

Janele fell in love with this setup she saw on one of the wedding magazines and we have to have something like this apple-green concept for the wedding reception. Not exactly like this... maybe something a little more exciting and vibrant, hehehehehehehehe....

So I made a plan....

From Orange-Yellow motif for the reception, Janele went for the Apple Green- YELLOW motif.

So I will incorporate these colors by adding fruits of the season such as green and yellow apples, lemons, grapes etc to match the green and yellow combination of the flower ball centerpieces.

It is something like this except that the hues you see wil be mostly shades of green and yellow:

But I am toying with the idea of having flowerballs on high thin glass vases only for the presidential table.

For centerpieces of regular tables, I want to play with the beautiful calla lilies and other white and yellow, even green flowers....

Perhaps something like this one but I want the stem of the Callas to be shorter:

It would be nice to have something like this below at Maynila, but not all of it. I think I can go for white table cloth more so the mood is lighter

Janele's and Joseph's Cake

This is the final choice of Janele for her wedding cake ( by Vienna ). Colors were perfect until.... The apple-green motif/color for the floral centerpieces and tablecloths came into the picture! :) So expect Green and yellow colors adorning the cake instead of the orangey ones. I am sure it would still look great!
